Adorable Lego Set - Lots of Tiny Details, Great To Play With When Assembled
By

Of all the Lego Friends sets my kid received over time, this is
undoubtedly the Queen of all the Cupcakes - my kid really loves the
Heartlake Cupcake Cafe. The set is a fairly good size, was easy to
assemble, has amazing details, and is high on the play back value.
After assembly, this wasn't a set that was simply placed on a shelf to
be displayed - this was a set where intense baking competitions occur,
last minute wedding cakes were ordered, and where the girls meet up to
down overpriced lattes while getting their sugar binge on. Look out
real housewives, the Heartlake City crew got so much more swag than you.
The detailing on this set is really what makes it - there are simply so many things to look at in this set. I particularly liked the dessert tower in the window, the tiny visor on the character's helmet, the little stained glass window over the door, and my personal favorite: the Kitchenaid mixer with the clear bowl and the two tan "batter" pieces in it! This set comes with two figures - Stephanie and Noemi - as well as a little cat figure. There is also a tiny scooter, so one of the girls can scoot off for a special cupcake delivery.
Overall, my kid LOVED this set. As others noted, there are a lot of tiny pieces in this set - primarily cupcakes, cookies, and other tiny baked goods. We have no issues with losing pieces/anyone eating pieces - but if you have a really little one in the house, you may want to watch out. Otherwise, this is a great set to add to any foodie Lego Fan's collection.

I was originally leery of the Lego Friends brand - it annoyed me that
the Legos I'd grown up with got this girly gloss on them in order to be
marketed better. Now that I have girls of my own though, I've found the
toy is still the same under all that pink, and my girls love them.
We own quite a few sets of the Lego Friends now, and I must say that the 'shop' sets get the most play. The shop wall pieces work well for future building projects - some sets have lots of little pieces that don't play well with other sets. Shop sets recycle well into house walls, castle walls, etc. And the girls love the cupcake concept (which can be done with other pieces from other sets). Plus there are two minifigs and a Vespa. Worth it for the vespa alone, really.

Cute set for the cupcake lover or girly girl! 5 and 7 yr olds love it!

This is a great little set. Since we were able to see it set up and
built at a local target, our daughter was really excited about it. With
just shy of 450 pieces, it's definitely beyond her, barely turned 5,
capabilities, but not too far so it just takes a little while longer
than expected. Lots of cute things, including a fridge and mixer/bowl,
rounded Windows, cupcake signage and cute overhangs. It really is an
adorable set, perfect for out girly girls.
Our 5 and 7 year olds both
really enjoy the cupcake theme. there isn't anything I was overly
disappointed with about the set, but the brick count is misleading since
there were a lot of non building pieces (cupcakes, flowers etc).
Outside of actual brick count, it's super cute, and up to the usual high
quality standards LEGO almost always has. It is not a large set by any
stretch, so all of the pieces and building booklet info fits in
quart-gallon size ziplock bag for easy storage. My now 5 year old had
been asking for this for her birthday, and we've been really pleased
with the purchase.
Great Gift Idea-- Girls love these.

Lots of fun with this set. The set came with everything we were
expecting. It includes a great instructional booklet that encourages
sharpens kids ability to read and follow instructions. That may be my
favorite thing about the leg friend kits. My daughter loves to play
with them (and owns more sets than I can count). I think it's neat how
she has to put hundreds of little pieces together to build something.
This is a great and very popular gift for girls.
Great for kids!

So happy with this purchase! We bought this on Amazon because it was
the best price around ($31.99 vs $39.99 elsewhere). My daughter has been
wanting this Cupcake Cafe for a while and put the set together as soon
as we received it. It's a very cute set with neat little features like
the turning viewer of the desserts in the store-front and spaces for the
cat to hang out. I would definitely recommend this LEGO set for any
parent looking for one for their child.
